Environmental Conservation Scholarship

Background and Purpose

At Essey Marketing, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to serve not just their clients, but also the planet. As part of our commitment to environmental conservation, we are proud to offer the Essey Marketing Environmental Conservation Scholarship, a one-time, annual award designed to support students who are passionate about protecting wildlife, preserving ecosystems, and driving sustainability initiatives.

With only 3% of U.S. philanthropy directed toward environmental causes, we aim to help bridge this gap by investing in the future leaders of conservation. This scholarship is intended for students dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment through their studies and future careers.

Scholarship Amount

$250 (One-time, annual award)

Eligibility Criteria

• Field of Study: Applicants must be pursuing a degree in environmental science, wildlife conservation, sustainability, ecology, or a closely related field.
• Academic Requirement: Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Educational Level: Open to high school seniors who have been accepted into a college conservation or environmental program.
• Award Type: One-time scholarship awarded annually to one recipient.

Application Requirements

• Essay (500-750 words): Applicants must submit a written essay on the topic:
  “The Biggest Environmental Challenge of Our Time—And How We Can Solve It.”
  The essay should present a well-researched argument, highlight personal passion for environmental issues, and propose innovative solutions for conservation and sustainability.

• Resume: A current resume highlighting academic achievements, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, internships, and any conservation-related experience or coursework.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated passion for environmental conservation
• Academic excellence
• Originality and clarity of ideas in the essay
• Overall presentation (spelling, grammar, coherence)

Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted by January 15th of the graduating year. Any applications received after this date will not be considered.

Award Notification

The scholarship recipient will be notified via email by February 28th of the graduating year.
The funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s designated financial account or campus bursar’s office (as required by the institution).
